Mayor’s Welcome: Greeting New Residents to Trinity

We have several new residents in Trinity and I wanted to take a brief moment to introduce myself to those of you who may not know me. I, myself, am a West Morgan graduate and lifelong Trinity resident. I’ve been married to my best friend Deanna Childress Goodwin for 24 years. I decided to become involved in local government in 1994. I have a sincere goal of seeing my and my family's hometown grow and flourish.

Recently, we have been blessed to be a part of some exciting developments surrounding our community. The Council and I are pleased to implement plans to see our Town thrive with our residents in mind. I hope this newsletter provides you with an insight into how dedicated we are to making Trinity an enjoyable place to call home. We have an outstanding group of leadership and employees, and we are more dedicated than ever to keeping things moving in a positive direction. I look forward to updating you again soon!

Sincerely,

The focus of this project is to enhance turning lanes at the intersection of South Greenway Drive and West Morgan Road. FRIENDLY REMINDERS

We'd like to offer some friendly reminders to our residents and local businesses. If you operate a business within the city limits or police jurisdiction of Trinity, please ensure you have the necessary business license and permits. This requirement not only helps us maintain accountability but also ensures that companies are responsible for their work within our community. As a protective measure, we ask contractors to provide proof of general liability insurance, and sub-trade contractors must furnish proof of their sub-trade certification. Remember, in the event of an accident involving a contractor on your private property, you could be held responsible, potentially affecting your homeowner's insurance. For verification of a valid and current license, feel free to call us at 256-353-2474, extension 201.

If you're considering in-home occupations, such as sales or services of any kind, please note that approval from the Town Planning Commission and Council is required. Contact us at 256-353-2474, extension 201, for additional information. These reminders are part of our commitment to ensuring a safe and well-regulated community for all our residents and businesses.

Where Spirit Shines

Trinity is filled with spirit and positive developments, particularly in the education and arts sectors. Our schools have seen significant improvements, including a new high school and the addition of School Resource Officers (SROs) in all three schools. Notably, the football program, under the guidance of Coach Drew Phillips and his staff, is thriving and bringing pride to our town. Trinity deeply appreciates the values and life lessons the coaches instill in our young athletes. Coach Phillips, his staff, and his players have been chosen as grand marshals for this year's Christmas parade.

In another exciting announcement, Trinity extends a warm welcome to Tim Clinton, the renowned director of the West Morgan Mighty Rebel Band. Mr. Clinton's return from retirement to lead the band is a cause for celebration. His exceptional talent is well-known throughout North Alabama, and his contributions to the arts have left a lasting impact. To honor his legacy, a scholarship fund has been established in his name at the University of North Alabama (UNA). Trinity is thrilled to have such a gifted and passionate individual back in our community, enriching our artistic and educational landscape.

We also extend our congratulations to the West Morgan Lady Rebels volleyball team making it to regionals and a heartfelt thank you to the cheerleaders for their unwavering dedication and support. Additionally, we want to express our deep gratitude to the school faculty and students for their incredible contributions to our town and the inspiration they provide to the entire community.

A TASTY NEW ADDICTION

Trinity is buzzing with anticipation as we prepare to welcome our first chain restaurant. Domino's Pizza is set to make its home in the shopping center located at 3036 Gordon Terry Parkway in the upcoming months. This addition promises a convenient and delicious dining option for our community. Stay tuned for more updates as Trinity continues to grow.
